This was my first piece from the soup that I received. I recently discovered "freeform peyote" and decided to give it a try
This is what I made with the left over beads. I didn't have quite enough to make the cuff as long as I wanted so I "improvised" I think the ribbon lace up is quite cute, but nor sure how practical it is
Hope you like what I did with my soup and looking forward to next time
Annita
wow for just statrting freeform peyetoe you sure did a very large piece. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteThanks Alice, I think I am now "hooked" on freeeform!
DeleteI am sure I love your necklace. Those large seedbead pieces are so interesting! But what a pity there is something blurry in the pictures.
ReplyDeleteI was having a little trouble with my camera -- hope I can get a better shot when the weather clears up and re-post. Glad you liked it anyway
DeleteI love what you created! The freeform piece is awesome! I really like the ribbon on the cuff it gives it an elegant look. Great work!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I loved the beads that you sent and had lots of fun playing with them!
Deleteamazing necklace! hours of work, i'm sure!
ReplyDeletethanks bailaora, actually even though it takes longer it seems to go by faster since you are free to do whatever you want and not follow any rules
DeleteI love your freeform peyote piece. That's something I have not mastered but you certainly did. It is a stunning piece.
ReplyDeleteI am loving the art of freeform, so liberating. Just go for it, no rules! I am sure you will love it too!
DeleteBeautiful designs with your soup friend! The necklace is amazing!!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I had lots of fun with the soup can't wait for the next one!
Deletecool, i love freeform pieces. And i will come back for taking a look at your new fotos. :-))
ReplyDeleteMaybe also each one alone for itself? For following your creative painting with beads.

Deletethanks!
gorgeous , BRAVO on trying something so new to you for this reveal. I too have admired free-form peyote but have yet to attempt to create a piece. someday........
ReplyDeleteThanks Deb, I am now hooked on free form it is very liberating
DeleteYour free form peyote piece is lovely (as are the others you have made, I had to scroll down and see some of your other posts). I'm looking forward to coming back soon and seeing some new pictures :-) I know how frustrating it can be to have bad light. Bright indirect light is not always here when we need it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Liz, hope to have better pics real soon! thanks for looking at the rest of my stuff also! :)
DeleteThat necklace is spectacular! Love the bracelet too! Nice work with the peyote stitch.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lisa!
DeleteI am intrigued by freeform peyote, and the necklace looks great. Love the pretty little cuff, too, very sweet with the ribbon.
ReplyDeleteI cheated with the ribbon, didn't have enough beads to finish so I improvised!
DeleteWow - really pretty -love the improvisation too.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I had lots of fun with the soup I received and can't wait for next time!
DeleteBeautiful designs.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sandra!
DeleteNicely done. The lace up on the bracelet looks great although I agree that you'd need someone to help lace it up.
ReplyDeleteThanks, I like the idea of the lace up but not very practical..
DeleteGreat necklace. What a lot of beautiful work. I like the use of the lace-up on the cuff.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteLovely pieces - I'm always impressed with seed beaders!
ReplyDeleteI love your free form piece. The earthy colors really appeal to me. I think the cuff is cute too. Great job on both!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jean!
DeleteLovely pieces! I have such respect for anyone who is able to do freeform peyote and your necklace turned out amazing!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much !
DeleteOh wow! Your first necklace is outstanding! I'm intimidated by any form of beadweaving so you have my total respect. I actually think it's great you didn't have enough beads for the cuff bracelet - love the ribbon addition. It reminds me of a corset. Very sexy, and an unexpected special touch to a very pretty piece.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I love all forms of jewelry making, but beadweaving is what I am drawn to the most!
DeleteBeautiful free form necklace, great job.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kepi, I am new to freeform, and I think it is now one of my favorite things... so liberating!
DeleteI really like the laced up ribbon on the cuff, I think it gives it a wonderful twist on the design! I would wear it :)
ReplyDeleteI am glad you like the cuff, I thought it was a cute solution to my running out of beads, you just have to make sure you have someone around to help you get it tied on. Thanks! Annita

ReplyDeleteWhat a breathtaking work of art - beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mimi, I feel more like an artist when I am working in freeform for some reason. Annita
DeleteI always envy freeform beaders and your piece is so unique!
ReplyDeleteThanks PiPa, I am new at freeform and I am loving the freedom it gives me, no rules, no pattern... Annita
DeleteNever tried freeform, but there are quite some pieces in this reveal and maybe I should try. Turned out great!
ReplyDeleteI just recently discovered freeform, there is a group for it on facebook (Freeform Peyote Beading) It is very liberating, any mistakes become happy accidents!
DeleteNice job with your soup ingredients! I think the bracelet is pretty neat and the lace-up design gives it a sexy, corset-like look. As far as how practical it is, you may just have to wear it a few times to make that determination. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, the bracelet is adorable on the wrist, but not sure how often I could talk hubby into helping me put it on LOL Annita
